The north end of Topsail Island sits about 25 to 35 minutes from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune's main gates, depending on traffic through Sneads Ferry, and around 30 minutes from MCAS New River. For families coming to a graduation, a homecoming, or a long weekend with a Marine, it is the closest place to stay that is actually on the ocean rather than in a hotel corridor off Highway 17.
Graduation weeks and family days
Parris Island graduates come home through Lejeune all year, and families visiting the School of Infantry or a unit at Lejeune often need a place that fits parents, grandparents, and siblings together. Our beach houses sleep 10, the Up On The Roof duplex sleeps 20 with two kitchens, and the condos work well for a couple or a small family. Two or three nights is common for these visits; ask us about shorter stays outside of summer.
Homecomings
We have hosted more than a few homecoming weeks, and our advice is simple: give the family a house with a fire table and a private walkway, and let the beach do the rest. If the unit's return date shifts, tell us early and we will do everything we can to move the reservation.
PCS, TDY, and extended stays
Families in transition sometimes need a month between houses. In the off season we can offer extended stays with a full kitchen, fast wifi, a washer and dryer, and a real neighborhood instead of a hotel. Contact us directly for monthly pricing; it is not something the booking sites show.
A note on discounts
We are grateful for the families who serve, and we say thank you the direct way: booking with us means no Airbnb or Vrbo service fees, and we do our best to be flexible on arrival and departure times around ceremonies. Mention that you are visiting the base when you inquire.
Getting here from the base
From the Sneads Ferry gate, follow NC 172 and NC 210 toward North Topsail Beach and cross the high rise bridge onto the island; our beach houses are a few minutes north along New River Inlet Road and the St. Regis condos are just past them. From Jacksonville, NC 24 to NC 210 is the usual route. Sneads Ferry has grocery stores and seafood on the way, so you can stock the kitchen without a second trip.
