Up On The Roof: Stars is an oceanfront beach house in North Topsail Beach, NC. It sleeps 10 with 3 BR + queen alcove and 2.5 baths, welcomes up to two dogs, and has its own private walkway over the dunes to the sand. Check in is 4 PM and check out is 10 AM.

Stars is for the ones who stay up. When the beach empties and the sky goes deep, carry a blanket to the brand new rooftop deck and count what the city never shows you. By day it is all oceanfront ease: private beach access, oceanfront dining right off the living room, a 65 inch smart TV, and a well stocked kitchen with Keurig and drip coffee makers.

The oceanfront master has a king bed, smart TV, and ensuite with rainfall shower. A queen bedroom and a twin bunk room share the hall bath, and the ground floor Alcove adds a queen bed under the stairs.

The new rooftop deck is the showpiece: sunset chairs in the back, stars overhead at night, ocean in every direction. Carport with gas grill and enclosed outdoor shower below. Adjoins Sun: book both for the whole crew.

Good to know

• Check in after 4:00 PM, check out before 10:00 AM. Contactless: door codes arrive by text the week of your stay
• Dog friendly: up to 2 dogs (dogs only) for a per-dog, per-week pet fee shown on your written quote.
• No smoking, no events. Minimum age of primary renter: 25
• Refundable security deposit: $500. It is held, not charged, and released after checkout if the home is left as you found it. Normal wear is never charged
• Linens, towels, and starter supplies provided. Cleaned to our 140 degree linen and disinfecting standard between every stay

The neighborhood: North Topsail’s quiet end

This is the stretch of North Topsail with no public beach access nearby, which means the sand behind the house stays blissfully uncrowded: room for chairs, corn hole, and a football throw without disturbing a soul. A sand bar 30 to 40 feet out calms the surf for young swimmers, tidal pools appear late in the day, and great surf fishing waits around the old pier posts just north. Groceries are across the bridge, our favorite restaurants are minutes away, and Wilmington is under an hour when you want a day trip.
