Gather all ten of you in this completely renovated oceanfront beach house. Pour your coffee, step onto the oceanfront deck as the sun comes up over the Atlantic, and let the waves be the only thing louder than the kids. When everyone is ready, your own private walkway carries you straight down to a stretch of sand you will mostly have to yourselves.

Inside, the ground floor Alcove tucks a queen bed and smart TV under the stairs (teenagers claim it fast). One floor up, the open main level holds a living room with 60 inch smart TV, dining for 8, a granite kitchen with island seating, a half bath, and that oceanfront deck where the walkway begins.

The top floor has a oceanfront king master with private bath, private upper deck access, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room with two sets of bunks for the kids. Outside: an evening fire table by the ocean, a gas grill in the private carport, an outdoor shower for sandy feet, and free EV charging.

Crowded is not in our vocabulary on this stretch of North Topsail. A sand bar 30 to 40 feet out calms the surf for kids, and tidal pools appear late in the day.

The neighborhood: North Topsail’s quiet end

This is the stretch of North Topsail with no public beach access nearby, which means the sand behind the house stays blissfully uncrowded: room for chairs, corn hole, and a football throw without disturbing a soul. A sand bar 30 to 40 feet out calms the surf for young swimmers, tidal pools appear late in the day, and great surf fishing waits around the old pier posts just north. Groceries are across the bridge, our favorite restaurants are minutes away, and Wilmington is under an hour when you want a day trip.
